Description

You will develop, test, and maintain applications within the mainframe environment. This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Develop and maintain batch and online programs, job control scripts, and utilities.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications, including dumps and abends.
• Participate in system design, coding, testing, and implementation activities.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in mainframe application development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
• Experience with IBM Utilities (IDCAMS, IEBGENER, SORT, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven ability to analyze performance issues and debug complex mainframe problems.
