Description

You will develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, unit test, and implement changes throughout the full application lifecycle.
• Analyze complex code independently to extract and document business rules.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications for peer and Product Owner approval.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance for efficient resource use.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on development experience in a mainframe environment.
• Strong coding proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with Mainframe Utilities, CICS, and MQ series.
• Proven ability to work within Agile project methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills for requirement gathering and technical design.
• Experience in designing, testing, and deploying lifecycle components.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java and JSON-LD.
