Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable mainframe applications and systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Perform data modeling and optimization for VSAM and DB2.
• Analyze user requirements to design technical specifications.
• Integrate mainframe systems with enterprise platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct unit, integration, and performance testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mainframe application development and support.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
• Proficiency with debugging tools such as Expeditor or IBM Debug Tool.
• Knowledge of mainframe utilities including DFSORT, File-AID, and SDSF.
• Experience with batch processing and scheduling tools like CA-7 or TWS.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with MQ Series or web services.
• Experience migrating mainframe applications to modern platforms.
• Exposure to cloud platforms or hybrid mainframe-cloud environments.
