Description

You will own the development, migration, and maintenance of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance end-to-end applications in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Lead migration efforts from legacy mainframe systems to distributed environments.
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability by applying SDLC, Lean/Agile, and CI principles.
• Assess application performance, remediate vulnerabilities, and manage API integrations via middleware.
• Provide on-call support on a weekly rotation and collaborate with Product Owners and technical partners.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Proficiency in CICS, ChangeMan, File Aid/File Manager, DFSORT, Syncsort, and Easytrieve.
• Experience with legacy-to-distributed system migrations and API middleware integration.
• Strong understanding of software security, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of business requirements, and analyze complex technical problems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
