Description

You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2. You own the full application lifecycle, from defining features to shipping and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and build batch and online mainframe applications.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and tune performance.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on mainframe development experience.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience designing and maintaining both batch and online applications.
• Knowledge of debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving in mainframe environments.
• Understanding of data structures, file management, and application lifecycle.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with code quality practices and automation tools.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field.
