The candidate should have experience in the IT industry with in-depth expertise in Mainframe technologies. The role involves development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and IBM DB2. The candidate should have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and possess strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and IBM DB2
• Perform development and testing activities for enterprise Mainframe applications
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide effective problem resolution
• Analyze and resolve technical issues while ensuring application stability and quality
• Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes throughout project execution
• Prepare and maintain project documentation as per quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project requirements
• Ensure adherence to project quality processes and development best practices
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide technical inputs where required
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Core Skills Required:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Mainframe technologies
• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL
• Hands-on experience in JCL
• Experience working with VSAM
• Experience in IBM DB2 development and testing
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong communication skills
• Good project quality knowledge
• Good documentation skills
• Good listening skills
• Good questioning skills
• Good writing skills
