Description

You will manage mainframe application development and integration within State of Michigan technology standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering using waterfall and agile methodologies to identify impacted business processes.
• Design, document, and approve program specifications and IT solutions.
• Lead artifact reviews with security and system specialists to ensure compliance with DTMB and agency policies.
• Manage change control for production system fixes and system architecture updates.
• Validate test data, approve test plans, and monitor defect tracking logs to facilitate problem resolution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of programming experience in COBOL or XGEN.
• 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering.
• 3+ years of experience writing test cases.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or information systems.
• Experience with DTMB standards and guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client liaison and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work onsite in Dimondale, MI, two days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday).
