Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance critical business applications running on the mainframe platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL programs to meet business requirements and ensure coding standards.
• Design and implement JCL scripts for batch processing, optimizing performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and support CICS transactions for online applications to ensure responsiveness and reliability.
• Design and implement VSAM datasets for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.

Required Skills

• Strong experience developing and maintaining COBOL programs for complex business applications.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing JCL scripts for batch processing.
• Strong experience in developing and supporting CICS transactions for online applications.
• In-depth knowledge of VSAM datasets and their application in mainframe environments.
• 7+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Experience with legacy applications, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills for complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
