Description

You will lead mainframe modernization and legacy migration efforts, translating requirements into scalable Java and Python solutions while maintaining core mainframe systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements for mainframe modernization and legacy migration projects.
• Implement migration solutions using Java, Java FSD, and Python alongside core mainframe technologies.
• Execute on-premise to on-premise and Azure cloud migration initiatives.
• Produce Business Requirement Specification documentation within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe modernization and legacy migration.
• Proficiency in Java, Java FSD, Python, COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, and MQ.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies including JCL, DB2, IMS, and MQ.
• Experience with Webservices, EXTRIVE, and SORT utilities.
• Familiarity with PL/1, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and best practices.
• Experience with the product development life cycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure cloud migration specifically.
