Description

You will develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications on z/OS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2/IMS code for production systems.
• Design z/OS APIs and batch processing programs to meet business requirements.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization for DB2 and IMS environments.
• Collaborate with architects and QA to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in application modernization, including re-engineering and re-platforming initiatives.

Required Skills

• 4–12 years of hands-on experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2/IMS.
• Strong understanding of batch processing and z/OS environments.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Ability to use version control and CI/CD tools in mainframe contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
