Description

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Mainframe technologies.

You will own the full development lifecycle, from translating business requirements to production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Build and optimize batch processing and online transaction systems.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects.
• Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing cycles.
• Maintain documentation and follow coding standards in Agile or Waterfall environments.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of Mainframe Development experience.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience with batch processing and online transaction systems.
• Proficiency with debugging tools like Abend-AID and SPUFI.
• Familiarity with version control and change management tools (Endevor, Changeman).
• Experience with File-AID and TSO/ISPF.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain.
• Knowledge of IMS and MQ Series.
• Exposure to Mainframe modernization projects.
