Description

Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS. You will own the full lifecycle from design and development through testing and production support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS.
• Debug, test, and resolve application issues across development and production environments.
• Perform batch and online processing support, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests to validate functionality.
• Support mainframe modernization and integration initiatives with distributed/cloud platforms.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development and support.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and IMS.
• Experience with DB2/VSAM for designing queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency in production support, performance tuning, and debugging.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe modernization and cloud integration.
• Advanced performance tuning capabilities.
• Knowledge of distributed system architectures.
