Description

You will manage the installation, customization, and support of z/OS 2.4 and third-party software products across multiple MVS images.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and document ISV products, including user modifications for specific release levels or site requirements.
• Develop, test, and support system modifications and MVS and JES exits using Assembler.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve z/OS software and hardware problems using IBM ServiceLink.
• Support z/OS Unix System Services (USS) and WebSphere environments.
• Provide level 1, 2, and 3 support for software and hardware trouble tickets, including rotational 24/7 on-call duty.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of System Programming experience.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS internals, including JES2 or JES3 environments.
• Expertise in SMP/E, SMF, dump analysis, and Omegamon.
• Hands-on experience with MVS and JES exits.
• Proficiency in Assembler, REXX, Clist, SAS, and JCL.
• Working knowledge of ISPF, TSO, and IBM utilities.
• Ability to create and analyze RACF profiles.
• Experience supporting ISV products such as CA Technologies, BMC, SAS, or EJES.
• Experience supporting Disaster Recovery for z/OS environments.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Access, and PowerPoint for project administration.
