Description

You will design, develop, and test mainframe applications within a systems and applications management environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, VSAM, MQ, BATCH, and JCL.
• Ensure application code adheres to architecture standards, risk management, and security guidelines.
• Support production calls and provide backup for application handling.
• Collaborate with the Service Delivery Team to diagnose and resolve system problems and inefficiencies.
• Assist management with necessary technical communications.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in the full development life cycle, including systems/application design.
• Deep expertise in Mainframe design and development using OS/MVS and MVS utilities.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, MQ, BATCH, JCL, TSO, and ISPF.
• Experience working within Agile concepts and processes.
• Proven track record in systems and applications management.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience re-engineering mainframe applications to Micro-services.
• Previous experience working with Ford Motors.
