Description

Develop, maintain, and optimize large-scale mainframe applications for the financial services sector. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Manage job control, file transfers, and messaging via JCL, NDM, and MQ.
• Implement stored procedures and utilize DB2 Utilities for data management.
• Integrate distributed technologies and AI tools into existing mainframe systems.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development within financial services.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Strong understanding of JCL, MQ messaging, and ChangeMan.
• Experience with NDM and other file transfer mechanisms.
• Ability to work with stored procedures and DB2 Utilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
