Description

You will analyze legacy COBOL code to reverse-engineer system requirements and business rules. You will provide technical clarifications to scrum teams and product owners, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria align with the extracted requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and TELON.
• Perform design and peer code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Estimate development tasks, plan sprints, and manage change requests.
• Support performance testing and security code reviews.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders to validate requirements and impact analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and TELON.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 tools including SQL, SPUFI, and FILEAID.
• Experience with version control and deployment tools like ENDEVOR.
• Ability to reverse-engineer requirements from legacy codebases.
• Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with API testing tools such as POSTMAN.
