Description

Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and TELON.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and TELON.
• Reverse-engineer legacy COBOL code to extract system requirements and business rules.
• Perform design and peer code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Provide technical clarifications to scrum teams and product owners to align user stories with requirements.
• Estimate development tasks, plan sprints, and manage change requests.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and TELON.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 tools: SQL, SPUFI, and FILEAID.
• Experience with version control and deployment tools like ENDEVOR.
• Ability to reverse-engineer requirements from legacy codebases.
• Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with API testing tools such as POSTMAN.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting performance testing and security code reviews.
• Ability to coordinate with client stakeholders for impact analysis.
