Description

You will develop and maintain core mainframe applications, focusing on COBOL, JCL, and Db2.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop COBOL programs for batch and CICS environments.
• Design and manage Job Control Language (JCL) and associated procedures.
• Write performant SQL queries against Db2 for data manipulation.
• Support the release process and implement incident fixes.
• Contribute to API enablement tasks under guidance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with COBOL development.
• Proficiency in JCL scripting and PROC design.
• Expertise in Db2 SQL.
• Experience with VSAM file structures.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools like CA7 or Control-M.
• Experience working within an Agile delivery framework.
• Knowledge of mainframe debugging tools (e.g., Endevor, File-Aid, Abend-AID).

Preferred Skills

• Awareness of Generative AI concepts for code assistance.
