Description

You will develop, support, and maintain complex mainframe application modules, including designing, coding, and debugging new software or enhancements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and debug application software and enhancements to existing programs.
• Formulate system scope, project costs, time estimates, and infrastructure requirements.
• Direct, train, and coordinate the work of junior developers and systems analysts.
• Extract business logic from programs and document business rules.
• Participate in usability testing alongside users during system testing phases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience across all aspects of the SDLC (specification, design, coding, testing, implementation).
• Advanced proficiency in COBOL, IDMS, JCL, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, and DB2 coding, testing, and debugging.
• Demonstrated knowledge of COBOL or related procedural programming.
• Strong understanding of database concepts.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
