Description

You will manage the full software development life cycle for mainframe applications, from design and coding to testing and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, debug, and maintain applications using COBOL and IBM Mainframe architectures.
• Analyze existing applications and formulate logic for new procedures, flowcharts, and programs.
• Perform unit testing, validation, and corrective measures for moderately complex code changes.
• Provide technical support for incident tickets, including Abend fixes and coordination with mainframe operations.
• Conduct project estimates and provide guidance to other software engineers through on-the-job training.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of professional experience in coding, designing, and analyzing data.
• Advanced knowledge of IBM Mainframe, COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS DB, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF.
• Hands-on experience with IBM File Manager, Debug Tool, CA7/11, and Endevor.
• Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
• Proven ability to perform incident analysis and provide on-call support.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with developers, testers, product owners, and business analysts.
• MCA, B.TECH, or B.E degree.
