Description

Develop, test, and debug mainframe applications across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test software using COBOL, DB2, and VSAM to ensure quality deliverables.
• Execute unit, system, regression, integration, performance, and volume testing.
• Manage implementation planning, coordination, and project stabilization phases.
• Develop detailed project plans and accurate estimates for design and build phases.
• Perform database and disaster recovery planning for multiple systems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
• Hands-on experience with JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, and AbendAid.
• Experience working with IM and Coolgen.
• Strong analytical and coding skills.
• Ability to conduct code reviews and facilitate technical design meetings.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery planning for enterprise systems.
