Description

Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions within an agile team environment. You will own the full lifecycle of mainframe applications, from architecture and design to production code and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Execute software design, development, and technical troubleshooting for complex mainframe applications.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms aligned with system requirements.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring all code meets strict design constraints.
• Analyze large data sets to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous system improvement.
• Identify data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and overall system architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with IBM-Z/OS COBOL and CICS.
• Proficiency with DB2 and IMS DB.
• Experience using VSAM, JCL, and Mainframe application development suites.
• Practical experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solutions.
• Proven ability in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code within a large corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Formal training or certification in Software Engineering concepts.
