Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug batch and online COBOL programs.
• Manage job execution and scheduling using JCL.
• Maintain and debug transaction processing within CICS and IMS DC.
• Manage data storage and retrieval using DB2, IMS DB, and VSAM.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to resolve technical requirements and defects.

Required Skills

• 3–8 years of hands-on experience with COBOL (batch and online).
• Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language).
• Experience with CICS (Customer Information Control System).
• Knowledge of DB2 and/or IMS DB.
• Experience with VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method).
• Experience with IMS DC (Transaction Management).
• Experience with IBM MQ (Message Queueing).
• Familiarity with TSO/ISPF, File-AID, and Abend-AID.
• Experience with version control tools such as Endeavor or Changeman.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
