Description

You will maintain, optimize, and modernize mainframe systems to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mainframe infrastructure, supporting application stability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching.
• Execute system upgrades, perform capacity planning, and tune performance to optimize resource consumption.
• Implement security protocols to safeguard data and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage data backup and restore processes, participating in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain technical knowledge bases.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in mainframe engineering, support, or administration.
• Proficiency with IBM z/OS.
• Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, Rexx, VSAM, and CICS.
• Working knowledge of mainframe database systems such as DB2 and IMS.
• Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools like CA-7, OMEGAMON, or Tivoli.
• Familiarity with mainframe security tools including RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret.
• Knowledge of SOAP and Restful Services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Datacom.
