Description

Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS-based banking applications in Kennesaw, GA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to implement application changes and document code impacts.
• Create, schedule, and troubleshoot batch jobs using CA-11, resolving production abends and job failures.
• Write efficient SQL queries, manage DB2 data, and utilize VSAM and file utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER).
• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT cycles while collaborating with BAs and QA teams.
• Support system integration via MQ and z/OS Connect, and provide knowledge transfer to junior team members.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
• Proficiency in CICS for online processing and DB2 SQL management.
• Experience with debugging tools (Fault Analyzer) and job schedulers (CA-11).
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Endevor or ISPW.
• Familiarity with MQ, Web Services, and z/OS Connect for integration.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and Change Management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring junior team members and conducting technical knowledge transfers.
• Background in banking or financial application development.
