Description

Develop and modernize mainframe applications within a banking environment. Own the full lifecycle from analysis and design through to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and develop technical specifications for modernized mainframe applications.
• Conduct proofs of concept for new mainframe features and tools.
• Support SIT and UAT phases for various projects and enhancements.
• Manage project deployment and implementation into production environments.
• Follow SDLC methods, security standards, and best practices.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in mainframe application analysis, development, and delivery.
• Proficiency in COBOL programming.
• Experience with CICS online application programming, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in JCL (Job Control Language).
• Working knowledge of VSAM/IAM databases.
• Experience with Mainframe MVS environments.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Endeavor, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, and CA Inter-Test.
• Background in the banking industry.
• Experience with mainframe applications like CBS/SAFE or CardLink.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CA IDMS or IDMS (CV) databases.
• Knowledge of IBM MQ.
• Experience with Batch Fine Tuning and basic understanding of Assembler.
