Description

You will develop, test, and maintain core mainframe applications within a large corporate environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug COBOL-based applications to ensure operational stability.
• Implement CI/CD practices, application resiliency standards, and security protocols.
• Apply the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design through deployment.
• Maintain and optimize database interactions using DB2 and VSAM.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in IBM Z/OS COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
• Experience with CA7 and Changeman/Endeavor mainframe application development suites.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solution.
• Knowledge of database querying languages and API creation using z/OS Connect.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka integration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AWS.
