Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, DB2, SAS, and JCL.
• Interface with business lines and IT teams to influence technical solutions.
• Participate in production support activities on a rotational basis.
• Lead initiatives and train junior staff in application development and support.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions within agreed effort levels.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, SAS, JCL, IMS, CICS, REXX, and VSAM.
• Experience with z/OS, TSO, ISPF, and SYNCSORT.
• Hands-on use of Mainframe utilities, Jobtrac job scheduler, and ISPW change management.
• Experience with relational databases including DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the mortgage industry.
• Mainframe integration with APIs and IT modernization efforts.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
