Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications while supporting production environments. You will own technical solutions and guide junior staff through development and support activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, DB2, and other mainframe technologies.
• Interface with business lines and IT teams to influence technical solutions.
• Participate in production support activities on a rotational basis.
• Lead initiatives and train junior staff in application development and production support.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions within agreed levels of effort.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, SAS, JCL, IMS, CICS, REXX, VSAM, z/OS, TSO, ISPF, and SYNCSORT.
• Experience with Jobtrac job scheduler and ISPW change management tool.
• Proficiency with relational databases including Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree is required.

Preferred Skills

• Mortgage industry experience.
• Experience with mainframe integration with APIs and IT modernization efforts.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
