Description

Develop and maintain mainframe applications while leading application development and production support initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications within mainframe environments using COBOL, DB2, IMS, and CICS.
• Interface with business lines and IT teams to influence requirements and deliverables.
• Provide rotational production support and lead modernization efforts including API integrations.
• Apply risk-based approaches to prioritize work and identify process efficiencies.
• Train junior staff and communicate technical details to business audiences.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience developing mainframe applications.
• Hands-on proficiency with COBOL, DB2, SAS, JCL, IMS, CICS, REXX, VSAM, Z/OS, and TSO.
• Experience with relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Proven track record in mainframe integration with APIs and IT modernization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly comprehend new technologies and identify process improvements.

Preferred Skills

• Mortgage industry experience.
• Familiarity with Mainframe utilities, Jobtrac, ISPW, and SYNCSORT.
