Description

You will engineer mainframe applications and support production environments within the mortgage industry.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, DB2, SAS, JCL, IMS, CICS, REXX, and VSAM.
• Interface with business lines and IT teams to influence technical solutions.
• Participate in production support activities on a rotational basis.
• Lead initiatives and train junior staff in application development.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions within agreed levels of effort.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS, TSO, ISPF, and SYNCSORT.
• Experience using Jobtrac job scheduler and ISPW change management tools.
• Working knowledge of relational databases: Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to apply a risk-based approach to prioritize delivery.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe integration with APIs and IT modernization efforts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
