Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications while supporting production operations in a rotation-based schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, DB2, and mainframe utilities.
• Interface with business lines and IT teams to define and influence technical requirements.
• Participate in production support activities on a rotation basis to ensure system stability.
• Lead application development initiatives and train junior staff on best practices.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions within agreed-upon levels of effort using a risk-based approach.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, SAS, JCL, IMS, CICS, REXX, and VSAM.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS, TSO, ISPF, SYNCSORT, and mainframe utilities.
• Experience with Jobtrac job scheduler and ISPW change management.
• Working knowledge of relational databases including Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Mortgage industry experience.
• Experience with mainframe integration via APIs and IT modernization efforts.
