Own mainframe system operations, automation, and integrations for financial platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily system operations, ensuring performance, stability, and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain automated programs using COBOL, Easytrieve, and JCL.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
• Coordinate system integrations and application interfaces, translating technical concepts for stakeholders.
• Create and execute test plans, validate solutions, and ensure successful project delivery with documentation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in mainframe development, preferably in financial systems.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, Easytrieve, and JCL.
• Experience with Tivoli scheduling and Linux command line environments.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
• Skilled in planning, estimating, and committing to work with moderate to high complexity.
• Familiarity with JIRA, ServiceNow, and diagramming tools like Visio or Miro.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Workday integration experience.
• Business analysis and project management background.
