Description

Design, develop, and maintain complex mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and test mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
• Analyze business requirements and create detailed technical designs and development estimates.
• Troubleshoot application issues through debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle.
• Support release management, code migrations, and implementation activities.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe Application Development.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Experience with CICS, VSAM, and mainframe tools (Endevor, FileManager, CA7, IDZ, TSO).
• Proficiency with GitLab for version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in application design and debugging.

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing technical guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with coding standards and continuous improvement practices.
