Description

You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications for credit card issuing platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance batch and online (CICS) programs for large-scale transaction processing.
• Handle job scheduling, restarts, abend resolution, and performance tuning for mission-critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement permanent fixes.
• Support integrations with card networks, fraud systems, and core banking platforms.
• Participate in platform upgrades, UAT, and production releases for card applications.

Required Skills

• 6–10+ years of hands-on Mainframe development experience.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM (KSDS/ESDS).
• Strong experience in the Credit Cards domain, specifically issuer-side processing.
• Deep understanding of card lifecycle modules: account setup, authorization, billing, and disputes.
• Experience with high-volume, mission-critical banking systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe coexistence or modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery models and global banking clients.
• Knowledge of z/OS scheduling tools like CA-7 or Control-M.
