Description

You will develop and maintain core mainframe applications, handling design, implementation, and production support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Perform system and impact analysis to implement enhancements for existing applications.
• Write and optimize JCL jobs for batch processing and ensure smooth execution.
• Develop and manage DB2 databases, queries, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes.

Required Skills

• 4-8 years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with batch and online applications (CICS preferred).
• Familiarity with production support and incident management processes.
• Experience working within Agile or Waterfall development environments.
• Proficiency in Application Support tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Java or distributed technologies.
