Description

Design, develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications on z/OS. You will perform analysis, coding, testing, and debugging of batch and online transaction processing systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL programs using JCL for job scheduling and batch processing.
• Write and optimize DB2 SQL and stored procedures for data management.
• Implement and enhance CICS online transaction processing capabilities.
• Troubleshoot production issues, debug code, and tune performance in VSAM and CICS environments.
• Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and production support teams to resolve defects and ensure compliance.

Required Skills

• 6-8 years of experience in mainframe development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming and JCL.
• Hands-on experience with DB2, including complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Practical knowledge of CICS and VSAM data management.
• Experience with mainframe debugging tools and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with batch scheduling tools such as Control-M or CA7.
• Understanding of z/OS operating environment and SDLC processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ASP.NET 4.5 for modernization or integration efforts.
• Knowledge of security guidelines and compliance requirements in mainframe systems.
