Description

Own end-to-end mainframe application development, delivery, and project coordination for financial services initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver projects from requirements through design, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
• Develop and optimize mainframe applications using PL/I, COBOL, DB2, JCL, and SQL.
• Coordinate UAT and production readiness while ensuring stable post-go-live performance.
• Manage RAID logs, budget planning, and monthly status reporting via Clarity.
• Align deliverables with risk, compliance, and audit standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of PL/I, COBOL, DB2, JCL, and SQL.
• Experience with RTC/IDZ tools, JIRA, and online CICS/MQ.
• Proficiency in SPUFI, FILE-AID, and batch processing support tools.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills for mainframe environments.
• IT project management experience, preferably in Financial Services or Custody.
• Experience with SDLC (Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall) and Jira/Confluence.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of custody operations: corporate actions, income processing, settlements (DTC/Euroclear/Clearstream), and SWIFT messaging.
• Experience with cash management and end-of-day processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
