Description

You will design, develop, and maintain large-scale mainframe applications, with a focus on migrating these systems to distributed environments and integrating AI solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement applications using COBOL, IMS, DB2, VSAM, and IDMS.
• Lead the migration of mainframe applications to distributed systems.
• Perform detailed design for workflows, business rules, and user interfaces.
• Coordinate unit and integration testing, including bug fixing.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications while adhering to coding standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL programming.
• Hands-on experience with IMS, DB2, and VSAM databases.
• Understanding of IDMS and CICS.
• Experience with IBM Assembler is a plus.
• Ability to design for minimized maintenance requirements.
• Strong background in business requirements elaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating AI solutions into migration projects.
• Familiarity with distributed development environments.
