Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop online and batch JCL programs with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Manage work and track issues using JIRA within an Agile development methodology.
• Apply understanding of Java programming to support mainframe integration and logic.
• Deliver projects with a focus on zero defects and first-time right execution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Strong database skills and ability to write complex queries.
• Experience with IBM Debugger for troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Git and GitHub for version control.
• Understanding of Agile development practices.
• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration and mentoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java programming in a mainframe context.
