Description

Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications while supporting modernization initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement application enhancements to meet business priorities.
• Review existing architecture, job flows, and scheduling to update application documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with developers and testers to facilitate system integration testing between mainframe and distributed applications.
• Manage multiple projects and maintenance tasks in parallel across various test environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and ZOS.
• Expertise in testing and debugging.
• Experience with Native Stored Procedures (NSPs) and Batch/Cobol.
• Knowledge of change management tools including ENDEVOR and BMC Remedy.
• Understanding of system performance and tuning.
• Experience working within agile processes.
