Description

Lead the architecture, design, and development of mainframe applications in an agile environment. You will balance hands-on coding with mentoring and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Perform system design, architecture, and coding for mainframe applications.
• Mentor onshore and offshore engineering teams through ongoing sprints.
• Collaborate with product managers on solution blueprints and system integrations.
• Drive consistent development practices and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience in mainframe technologies.
• Proficiency with Mainframe-JCL, COBOL, DB2, IMS, Stored Procedures, MQ, and SYNCSORT.
• Experience with Easytrieve Plus.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong ability to communicate technical solutions to third parties and business product managers.
• Demonstrated experience working with Agile or rapid application development methods.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous or under-defined problems through abstract thinking.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payments technology and industry standards.
• Knowledge of web services, OpenAPI development, and SOA concepts.
