Description

You will own the design and implementation of a home-grown solution to replace key functionalities in the existing Mobius (Rocket Software) setup, focusing on archiving and data distribution across multiple systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a new mainframe-based solution to replace existing Mobius archiving and distribution capabilities.
• Analyze and maintain existing COBOL, JCL, and VSAM batch processing environments.
• Conduct performance and health checks, including CPU and memory utilization monitoring.
• Implement batch monitoring and scheduling improvements.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of Mainframe Application Development experience.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
• Experience with batch monitoring and scheduling tools.
• Ability to quickly understand complex legacy setups (specifically Rocket Software/Mobius).
• Strong analytical skills for designing replacement architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Direct prior experience with Mobius (Rocket Software).
• Proficiency in REXX and Assembler.
