Description

You will own the development, production support, and operational stability of mainframe applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 production support and resolve job abends, failures, and application issues within SLA timelines.
• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues and lead Major Incident Management (MIM) for critical outages.
• Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management activities, including emergency fixes and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and prepare technical documentation and runbooks.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development and production support.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
• Experience monitoring batch jobs and resolving scheduling tool issues.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, Service Management best practices, and SLA-driven environments.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and communicate effectively with business users and stakeholders.
• Experience participating in on-call and weekend support rotations.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
