Description

You will design, develop, and maintain secure mainframe applications, ensuring operational stability and architectural integrity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, and technical troubleshooting for complex mainframe systems.
• Create secure production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with enterprise systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring design constraints are met by code development.
• Analyze large data sets to identify hidden patterns, driving improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Maintain application resilience and security within a large corporate environment.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering and system design.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, and MQ messaging.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like CA-7 and version control practices.
• Ability to develop, debug, and maintain code in a large corporate environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of software applications and technical processes within a specialized discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Mainframe utilities such as File-Aid, Expeditor, SORT, REXX, and SAS.
• Knowledge of CICS web services, REST APIs, or cloud technologies.
• Exposure to Python, Java, Unix Shell Scripting, or Oracle.
