Description

You will own database administration, development, and optimization tasks for critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Configure, patch, upgrade, and optimize database software using hands-on experience with IBM DB2, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL.
• Monitor and tune database performance by optimizing queries, indexes, and overall system efficiency.
• Execute schema changes, perform bottleneck analysis, and manage recovery and restores for efficient database operation.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell and PL/SQL to support development efforts.
• Proactively monitor and resolve database issues, ensuring timely root cause analysis and remediation while adhering to change and incident management processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise with IBM Db2, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL tuning/query optimization.
• Strong experience in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of database security concepts, including users, roles, and privileges.
• Experience with XML data formats.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and managed database services.
