Description

You will support, maintain, and evolve the COBOL mainframe environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and coordinate changes to legacy mainframe modules.
• Develop, install, and evaluate application software on the mainframe.
• Define, design, and develop complex system requirements and test application programs.
• Coordinate with application architects to ensure design requirements meet client ROI.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of application development and programming experience.
• 3+ years of programming and on-call support in a COBOL/MVS/JCL/IBM mainframe environment.
• Hands-on experience with CICS, TSO, CHANGEMAN, SQL, DB2, Abend-Aid, MainView, and Xpediter CICS.
• Experience with CICS Transaction Server (CTS) exposing COBOL programs as web services (minimum 1 year).
• Familiarity with Easytrieve and FileAid.
• Experience across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of design, analysis, programming, testing, and debugging principles.
• Any Graduate education.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MainView and Abend-Aid for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
