Description

You provide L2 and L3 production support for mainframe systems, resolving technical issues and managing program changes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues across projects and explore alternative designs.
• Handle production support including program changes, job abends, and data issues.
• Analyze and escalate failures or delays with proper diagnosis.
• Participate in team coordination across project modules.
• Train and coach project group members on knowledge management.

Required Skills

• 4-7 years of experience in mainframe support projects.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, and MQ.
• Proficiency in diagnosing program issues from JCL abend fixes.
• Experience with error handling in mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of production support issues such as database/file contention and upgrade impacts.
• Familiarity with SQLREP and QRep tools.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Tivoli (TWS) scheduling tools.
• Experience with Kafka (distributed) or general Release management.
