Description

You will own the end-to-end development, testing, and deployment of mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and IMS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze IMS segments and DB2 objects to create detailed technical designs.
• Develop, unit test, and deploy COBOL and SQL code for production environments.
• Lead junior developers and participate in end-to-end field mapping.
• Utilize Endevor, File-AID, CA-7, and INSYNC for version control and job scheduling.
• Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot and VS Code Designer to enhance coding efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, SQL, and DB2.
• Deep knowledge of IMS database structures and processing.
• Proficiency with Endevor, File-AID, and CA-7 scheduling tools.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow for project management.
• Ability to independently analyze complex mainframe objects and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, VS Code Designer).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to teams with limited mainframe expertise.
