Description

You will design, develop, and maintain critical mainframe applications while leading a team through modernization initiatives.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy mainframe applications using COBOL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
• Create and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing and job automation.
• Manage and optimize databases using DB2 and IMS.
• Debug and monitor applications using File Aid, Abend Aid, and Xpeditor.
• Lead a team of developers by providing technical guidance and mentorship.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with CICS and IMS database management.
• Ability to write and maintain JCL scripts.
• Hands-on experience with File Aid, Abend Aid, and Xpeditor.
• Knowledge of OS & DOS utilities, MQ Series, and LIBRARIAN.
• Experience with system integration and modernization efforts.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and system specifications.
